PSYC 320 Health Psychology
This course is an introduction to the emerging field of behavioral medicine. It involves study of the relationship between personal health and psychological factors that help to maintain health or to predispose illness such as stress, attitudes, emotions, beliefs, lifestyle choices, etc. The objective is to provide information and techniques for the maintenance of optimal physical and mental health. A review of the human body systems is covered at the beginning of the course. Pre-requisites: PSYC 260 - History and Systems and BIOL 220 - Anatomy and Physiology I and Lab or HPER 215 - Survey of Human Anatomy. Fall, Spring.
