Welding Technology Certificate

Overview

The one-year Welding Technology certificate is designed for high school graduates looking to pursue a “for college credit” option that will prepare them for a career as a well-rounded welder in Western North Dakota. The purpose of the program is to provide a continuous flow of new welders to support manufacturing and energy industries in the region. The certificate will consist of progressive instruction in the four main welding positions using Shielded (SMA) and Gas (GMA) Metal, Gas Tungsten (GTA), Plasma (PA) and Flux Cored (FCA) Arc, and Oxyacetylene (OA) welding and cutting techniques.
