HIST 491 History Seminar

A capstone course designed to train students in the historian's craft by direct application. Under the supervision of an instructor, the student will prepare a 25-30 page topical study based upon current research. Prerequisites: ENGL 120 - College Composition II or ENGL 121H - Honors Composition II and 21 credits in History courses. With the consent of the department chair, students may substitute either HIST 496 - Study Tours or HIST 497 - History Internship, Externship, Cooperative Education for HIST 491. This course is part of the university's Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing in the Disciplines program.
