ENGL 450 Themes in British Literature
This advanced course in British Literature considers one or more themes of importance in British letters. Topics may include, imperialism/colonialism, social class and social critiques, fears and monsters, and literacy. Students should expect to complete independent research leading to writing projects and discussions. Prerequisites: ENGL 250 - Masterpieces of British Literature I and ENGL 120 - College Composition II or ENGL 121H - Honors Composition II. This course is part of the university's Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing in the Disciplines program. Alternates every even Fall with ENGL 455.
