Bachelor of Science Degree - Exercise Science - Sports Management Track
The Exercise Science Sports Management track delivers a rigorous, competency-based curriculum designed to prepare the next generation of leaders for the dynamic sport industry and related fields. This track blends essential coursework from the School of Business and Entrepreneurship—providing a solid foundation in finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship—with a streamlined, focused core in Exercise Science. Graduates are equipped with advanced professional competencies in facility and event management, governance and law, and critical data analytics.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the undergraduate program in Exercise Science- Sports Management track, graduates will be able to:
- Sport Business and Finance: Analyze and apply fundamental business principles, including finance, marketing, economics, and sales, unique to the structure and function of the sport industry.
- Facility and Event Management: Develop comprehensive operational plans for the effective management of sport facilities and events, integrating principles of logistics, security, and risk management.
- Governance and Law: Evaluate the legal, ethical, and regulatory environments to make informed decisions and establish sound policies within diverse sport governance structures.
- Professional Communication: Develop and deliver clear, professional, and persuasive multi-mode communications (written, oral, and digital) tailored to the unique needs of various stakeholders in the sport marketplace.
- Critical Thinking and Analytics: Employ critical thinking and data analysis skills to identify, assess, and propose evidence-based solutions to complex organizational problems within the sport industry.
- Leadership and Inclusion: Demonstrate effective leadership, collaboration, and inclusive practices necessary to manage diverse teams and foster a positive, equitable sport environment.
