ATR 541 Advanced Athletic Training
This course delves into advanced techniques for evaluation and rehabilitation of complex athletic injuries, including those presenting with chronic conditions, neurological impairments, and other complex medical histories. Students will refine manual therapy skills, develop comprehensive rehabilitation protocols, and analyze current research in athletic training, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice. This course will also focus on the development of advanced skills in differential diagnosis, biomechanical analysis, and the implementation of progressive rehabilitation strategies tailored to individual patient needs. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and the application of advanced modalities to optimize patient outcomes across diverse athletic populations. Summer.
