COMM 215 Introduction to Journalism
This course introduces the field of journal as a necessary component of a functioning democracy. Students will learn the history, function, and ethics of journalism in democracy and gain a hands-on feeling for the coverage of news stories. Additionally, students will publish a newsmagazine by reporting on community news. Prerequisite: ENGL 120. This course is designated as part of the university's Writing across the Curriculum/Writing within the disciplines program. Fall, Spring
