EMS 302 Education in EMS
This course introduces students to the principles, methods, and best practices of teaching and training within Emergency Medical Services. The course covers instructional design, adult learning theory, lesson planning, skills instruction, scenario development, assessment strategies, remediation, and effective communication in both classroom and field training environments. Students learn how to design and deliver high quality EMS education for initial certification, continuing education, and agency level training programs. Emphasis is placed on preparing future educators, preceptors, and training officers who can support learner development, maintain professional standards, and contribute to strong organizational training cultures.
