This is the second course in a two-semester sequence. Provides the cognitive training needed to operate safely and effectively on the fireground. The course meets the training and education standards for Firefighter I as identified in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards, NFPA 1001, Firefighter Professional Qualifications. Upon successful completion of this two-semester course sequence (FIRE 101A, FIRE 101AL, FIRE 101B, FIRE 101BL), students will be eligible to take the Firefighter 1 Certification Test. Co-requisite FIRE 101BL. Spring.
