FIRE 300 Report Writing for Fire & EMS

This course develops professional report writing skills for the fire and emergency medical services. Students will learn to write clear, accurate, legally defensible narratives for fireground operations, EMS patient care, inspections, investigations, and incident documentation. Emphasis is placed on factual reporting, objective language, chain of evidence, HIPAA compliance, and documentation that withstands courtroom and administrative review. Assignments simulate real incident documentation environments to build skill through practice.
