FIRE 301 Fire & EMS Communications

This course introduces students to communication theory and practical application within Fire and EMS response environments. Students will learn radio discipline, dispatch interaction, clear text standards, emergency tone handling, digital communications systems, incident size-up transmission, and interagency interoperability. Additional focus is placed on documentation, stress communication, patient information relay, and communications leadership during complex incidents.
