FIRE 346 Fire and Emergency: Human Resources

This course provides a comprehensive overview of human resource functions specific to the fire and emergency services. Students will explore recruitment, hiring, labor law, performance documentation, workplace standards, organizational culture, benefits administration, and employee retention strategies. Special emphasis is placed on legal compliance, policy enforcement, conflict management, discipline, and equitable application of HR processes in a public-sector emergency service environment.
