FIRE 404 Personnel Management for the Fire Service

This course explores personnel management within the fire service, including supervision, leadership behavior, performance evaluations, communication, discipline, scheduling, recruitment, and workforce planning. Students will examine motivation theory, conflict management, emotional intelligence, labor relations, and legal considerations affecting fire administration. Through scenario-based study and applied assignments, students learn how to lead, influence, develop, evaluate, and support personnel across a modern fire service organization.
