FIRE 405 Fire Service Ethics
This course examines ethical responsibility and decision-making within the fire and emergency services. Students evaluate moral reasoning, integrity, accountability, leadership values, community trust, and professional conduct. Through case reviews, policy analysis, and real-world ethical conflict scenarios, students learn to navigate complex decisions involving policy, risk, personnel, and public expectation. Emphasis is placed on character, leadership behavior, organizational culture, and ethical application in fire service operations.
