FIRE 413 Fire Instructor I
This course prepares students to meet the job performance requirements (JPRs) for NFPA 1041: Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I. Students will learn instructional methodology, lesson plan delivery, skills evaluation techniques, training safety protocols, documentation requirements, and effective classroom and skills lab teaching practices. Emphasis is placed on the instructor’s role in delivering safe, engaging, and standards-based instruction for fire and emergency services personnel. Students will design and deliver presentations, conduct skills evaluations, develop course materials, and follow accepted best practices in adult education. This course supports individuals seeking Fire Instructor I certification through state or national agencies. Students will receive Pro-Board certification upon completing the program.
