HPER 445 Coaching and Sports Administration

This course provides an intensive examination of the administrative, legal, and operational functions necessary to successfully lead and manage sport programs, from youth leagues to intercollegiate athletics. Key topics include financial oversight, facility and event risk management, sport governance, and the development of inclusive leadership and staff management strategies essential for managing diverse coaching staff, athletes, and stakeholders. This project-based course integrates business principles with ethical decision-making in the context of sport.
