NURS 315 Advanced Fundamentals of Nursing

Advanced Fundamentals of Nursing (3 credits lecture and 1 credit lab) focuses on advancing core nursing competencies that are central to nursing at a professional level. Common health issues associated with hospitalization and prevention are considered. The course introduces students to nursing therapeutics and actions that apply across multiple settings, with a focus on evidence based, high quality and safe practices. This course includes a hands-on skills lab component in advanced nursing skills necessary for effective patient care.
