NURS 425 Leadership and Professional Practice
Leadership and Professional Practice (3 credits lecture) focuses on concepts associated with the roles and development of professional nurses, including leadership and management, legal and ethical practice, evidence-based practice, staffing, communication, conflict, and collaboration. Students will consider quality and safety imperatives, as well as the structure of healthcare systems, budgeting, and informatics. Students will gain a knowledge base for key concepts in patient care across multiple settings and will explore the roles of the BSN nurse.
