HPER 371 Practicum
This practicum is an experiential course designed to expose students to the diverse career paths available within the field of Exercise Science. Students will complete a minimum of 40 hours of observation within a pre-approved professional setting (e.g., physical therapy clinic, cardiac rehabilitation, strength and conditioning facility, corporate wellness). The course focuses on bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world application, allowing students to observe and analyze the daily responsibilities, challenges, and opportunities of professionals in their chosen environment. This foundational experience is intended to help students critically evaluate their career interests, develop discipline-specific knowledge through practical observation, and cultivate professional communication skills.
