ANSC 463L Physiology of Reproduction Laboratory

Anatomy and physiology of the reproductive tract and demonstration and utilization of techniques in large animal reproductive management. Laboratories will include demonstrations, hands-on activities, and lectures. Subjects covered will be gross and microscopic anatomy of reproductive organs, technology in large animal reproductive management procedures designed to manipulate the reproductive process, including superovulation; ova, embryo and semen collection; embryo production and transfer; gamete preservation; pregnancy diagnosis; and estrous control. Co-requisite: ANSC 463 – Physiology of Reproduction. Spring, odd years. Course fee required.
