EDUC 613 School Law and Policy

This course examines the legislative and judicial actions affecting public schools. Students will understand and demonstrate the capacity to reflectively evaluate, communicate about and implement laws, rights, policies, and regulations to promote student success and well-being. Contemporary legal issues for teachers, administrators, and boards will be examined and study labor laws, HIPPA and FMLA will also be included. Fall, Summer.
