NURS 198A Basic Nursing Concepts Clinical I

NURS 198A is the initial clinical course and focuses on the attainment of basic clinical and communications skills using the Nursing Learning Laboratory. Students will apply skills using professionalism, communication, and caring interventions. Clinical experiences encompass restorative and supportive nursing skills that protect, promote, and optimize client health/abilities as well as prevent client illness/injury and alleviate suffering. Students who need to repeat NURS 198A must also repeat the co-requisite NURS 121 – Basic Nursing Concepts I. Prerequisites: High school chemistry and algebra, or equivalent. Co-requisite: NURS 121 – Basic Nursing Concepts I. Fall.
