Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Analyze and apply measures to resolve problems in areas of fire suppression and fire prevention.
  2. Recognize the importance of ethics, professionalism and diversity within the fire service.
  3. Communicate effectively in both oral presentations and written fire service reports.
  4. Demonstrate technical, cognitive, and psycho-motor skills necessary to achieve and maintain employment in the fire service.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the fire service.

Requirements

Students may be required to complete UNIV 100 - Freshman Seminar (1 semester credit). This is a university requirement for all incoming freshman (including transfer students) with less than 24 semester credits earned who have not completed an equivalent course at another institution.
