HPER 432 Physiology of Exercise

Physiology of the human body with emphasis on the physiological responses and adaptations to chronic exercise (training) in relation to physical fitness. Additional emphasis will be placed on nutrition and body composition and their contributions to athletic performance. Prerequisites: HPER 215 - Survey of Human Anatomy or BIOL 220 - Anatomy and Physiology I, HPER 328 - Biomechanics, HPER 328L - Biomechanics Lab and ENGL 120 - College Composition I or ENGL 121H - Honors Composition II. This course is part of the university's Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing in the Disciplines program. Fall, Spring.
