ENGL 440 Literary Criticism
Students in Literary Criticism study major movements and theories of literary criticism. This study may include the beginnings of literary theory with Plato and Aristotle, Neoclassical and Romantic theories and the development of New Criticism, and post-modern methods such as Structuralism, Post-Structuralism, New Historicism, Marxism, Feminism, Post-Colonialism, and Cultural Studies. Pre-requisite: ENGL 120 - College Composition II or ENGL 121H - Honors Composition II. This is a writing intensive course. Spring.
