MUSC 105 Foundations of Music

This course is designed for the Elementary Education Major as preparation for MUSC 305 - Music Activities for Elementary Teachers and counts toward general education requirements for elementary education majors only. The course content includes the learning of basic musical concepts using a variety of music teaching methods, understanding of music education research, and child development to effectively teach music in the general elementary classroom. Hands-on collaborative cooperative learning activities enable students to learn the basic fundamentals of music in an experiential context. Fall, Spring.
