ELED 390H Teaching Physical Education in the Elementary School

This course serves as a precursor to pre-service teachers who are physical education majors. Areas covered include pedagogy, methodology, curriculum development, classroom observations, assessment, philosophy, reflective decision-making and classroom management. This course also includes peer teaching and development of a unit plan. Prerequisites: Admission to Teacher Education and HPER 216 - Skill Themes & Movement Concepts For The Elementary School. Co-requisites: SEED 390P - Methods of Teaching Secondary Physical Education, EDUC 390E - Health Education Methods, SEED 398B - Secondary Methods Field Experience I or SEED 398C - Secondary Methods Field Experience II.
