Student Learning Outcomes

The undergraduate program in Business Education will enable students to:

  1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Business Education subject areas and economic systems, including legal, ethical, global, and technological aspects, to create effective instructional programs for secondary schools. (This learning outcome directly addresses Institutional Learning Outcomes II, IV, VII, and X.)
  2. Apply knowledge of learning theories to plan, teach, and interact with Business Education students, while accommodating their diverse backgrounds, interests, experiences, and abilities. (This learning outcome directly addresses Institutional Learning Outcomes V, VI, VII, and X.)
  3. Enhance the Business Education learning environment through the effective incorporation of technological equipment and resources, while developing various evaluative strategies and instruments for determining student achievement and instructional efficacy.  (This learning outcome directly addresses Institutional Learning Outcomes IV, VI, VII, and VIII.)
  4. Communicate accurately and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with students, colleagues, parents and community members, while demonstrating professional attitudes, actions, and behaviors. (This learning outcome directly addresses Institutional Learning Outcomes VIII and X.)
