EMS 470 EMS Capstone Practicum

This course is a capstone practicum experience that allows students to apply the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors gained throughout the Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services program. This course is intentionally flexible and individualized, enabling students to complete supervised, field based, or project-based experiences tailored to their professional goals and interests. Students may focus their practicum on areas such as Community Paramedicine, EMS Leadership, EMS Management, EMS Education, Critical Care Paramedicine, or other approved specialty areas. Through hands on practice, mentoring, reflective learning, and structured evaluation, students gain real world experience, expand their professional competencies, and prepare for advanced roles within EMS systems.
